Le Tallec played extremelly well considering that it was his first start in the Champions League, he definetly has talent and the potential but his attitude off the pitch is the reason he's only gotten one start since January.

Benitez knows what ALT is capable of as he tried to bring him to Valencia. Funny how most people here didn't believe he had any talent because he didn't play a lot in France while he was on a loan but he was injured for most of the time he was there.

If he sorts his attitude then he'll be a top notch player in the future.

Well he is our top scorer in the Champions League, he's scored 4 goals in the last three CL games. Quite impressive, with more time he will score more in the Premiership, he's already our second top scorer thus far.

just to say, we have too many players in liverpool wants to play in the whole behind the strikers, but in the premiership, that is not a gd style of play.

Le tallec was like a different player against Juve and although Canavarro is one of the smallest centre halves about he has a great spring and doesnt lose out in the air to most strikers. I would rather give him a go against city with morientes and bring baros on later in the game to stretch them. We keep posession without Baros in the side and after the Juve game Le tallec deserves a chance in the league.

Yeah ALT did ok and did do well in the air.  I must point out though that Cannavaro is 5'7'' and Thuram (despite being a beast of a man) has spent most of his career as a right back and isn't as great in the air as he should be.  I thought we caused their defence problems with any sort of ball into the box, especially in the first half, and not just ALT either.

This could be the key to getting an away goal over there.  I'd be tempted to play five across the middle with maybe Nunez and Riise wide so they can whip in a few crosses.

More ****** from another idiot. Cannavaro is 5'9 and actually scored a header and is known for being unbelievabley good in the air for a player of his height. Also, Thuram wins headers against players every game he plays and spent MOST of his career as a centre half for Parma occasionally playing RIGHT BACK for France.

Am I the only one who was unimpressed with Le Tallec's performance against Juve?? He looked terrified each time he had the ball, I thought. And looked to unload it quickly most of the time - rather than trying to create something. He made a couple of good passes and was good in the air, but that was it really. I didn't really see him as a threat to their defenceso much. He may have ran a bit with the ball, but he didn't pass anybody...

Either way, it was a good performance from him. I have seen better, though. And I will say, the kid definitely has great vision. I just think he needs more games to improve.
