Bad news folks. It looks like Alonso has broken his ankle. Will be out for weeks. The boys look good though, but the ref is a w@nker.

Riise went off as well at the end, didnt look great.

A disappointing result (deserved a point though, maybe even 3 on our 1st half performance) on top of those injuries, absolutely ****** gutted. :(

at least Rafa can buy players in now...

Alonso is a major asset of our squad but we lived without Gerrard and we'll live without Alonso. Even with the injuries we played better football than Chelsea.

when carragher broke his ankle he was out for practicaly the half season, so this may be very bad season.
I would be a proffesional footballer if i wasn't limited by my lack of talent.

Very bad season? Where have you been for the past four months? We've lost almost single player and still survived.

Josimi, Smicer,Kewell,Alonso,Cisse,Riise(?). With all the injuries, we might have a very different team when the transfer window closes. We now are missing all players that play left mid (other than the youngsters).

a very bad season in terms of injuries, i can't heap enough praise on rafa and how he's got the boys playing. I seriously think without the injuries and prehaps the loss of owen, we'd be right at the top.

Alonso walked off the field. I think 6-8 weeks (let's hope).

We're going to be all right. The transfer window is open so perhaps we can find a replacement [Aimar?]. We proved that we were strong with all the injuries we had in the past two months.
