Just use blackmail Dalglish.Get a camera and use it often.Pictures of your first born in a Liverpool kit for starters.Take them to the match and get a photo beside the Shankly statue,on the Kop,holding a Liverpool scarf, you know the thing.Years from now when Houllier is in his tenth season of turning the corner and Liverpool are "too good to go down" and your kid is showing signs of supporting cockney or manc, just produce the pictures and give he or she a choice..."Support our dying club or your mates will get the photos"

Our standards have dropped a bit since Paisley mate, according to Houllier we should all be thankful at the miracles he has performed.Fourth is an achievment seemingly.

Im getting depressed now.

As you probably know i'm a sympathiser of Houllier's although that doesn't necessarily mean I think he should stay ....

When he says we have had an awful run of injuries he is RIGHT

When he says we have been unlucky in a lot of games he is RIGHT

When he says he can't go back to the 60's and 70's he is RIGHT

When he says that 4th is an achievement given the various problems we have had this season he is RIGHT

He also agreed with I would imagine the vast majority of fans that 4th is not acceptable for a club with our ambitions.

He aslo said that he has raised expectations and again he is RIGHT .....

When i used tiocwatch LFC under Souness and Evans, I hoped for better things but just knew we simply were not good enough, after 2001 I started to believe that we might mount a serious cahllenge, thats expectation raised  in my book ......

Bottom line is that expectation has dipped again and the backlash you see if evident in the daily papers, on the terraces and in here......

The answer ? Not necessarily a change of manager although i wouldn't be  annoyed or surprised if there was but WHO do you go for ? O'Neil won't come , Many others don't fancy it either, personally i'd give the job to Alan Curbishley for reasons i've discussed in here ona several occasions ......Not least of all, we would have an AC to go with the MILAN we already have LOL

:D

I agree with most things you said there Dalglish. But i cant agree that GH has raised expectations. This club is massive, monumental,we have massive expectations. He has LOWERED expectations to such an extent that we are now meant to accept 4th as success.I dont buy it.

Thanks for the reply Greenred but i beg to differ regarding the expectation issue ......... Honestly mate take it from me as a fan who attends regularly and has done since the great Dalglish was in charge and up to the present day he HAS Raised expectations.

Pre 2000 I KNEW we didn't have what it takes to compete at the highest level. The season we finished 2nd in 2002 was a plateau moment and to be honest its gone tits up since then !!!!! ???

The previous 2 seasons were milestones in this clubs development. If Houlier is to take credit for that he also has to take the criticism over why its gone so badly wrong since. However in these last 2 seasons we have WON a Cup and Qualified for Europe (2002/03 season) and this season Qualified for Europe (CL)

Its hardly monumental but its achievement ina  season when the TOP sides have broke new ground (Arsenal) abnd the other 2 have budgets LFC can only dream of !!!!!

I still dont buy it Dalglish. We CAN compete with the others if we played the right system to suit our players.Look at Valencia,I watched them pick up the Spanish championship the other day with players that GH wouldnt even look at.Those guys arent superstars but they know how to work within a system.Houlliers lazyboys wouldnt do that.Valencia shouldnt lace our boots yet they are showing us how to play football. How did that happen?
