Poor Rafa, only getting a measly £200 million to spend, times are bad.

Is heindmall a really rude word where you are from, I'm sure I've asked you to explain it to me before but I probably moved on before you answered. Anyway it certainly shows a lot of maturity, dignity, class and respect deliberately mispronouncing people names, so entirely expected from you!

Why doesnt it work like that?
Who says so?

If he was a tactical genius boss world class top manager for winning in Istanbul why isnt he an idiotic moronic lower league useless manager for losing in Athens?

I don't get tired of people losing faith, the thread title is misleading in that aspect but it is tiring to read people look like they enjoy the club doing badly.  This has probably been stated already I haven't gone through the thread.  Anyway to a neutral observer the majority of this board would look like they aren't Liverpool fans at all.  When we lose it has come to the point that there are more post in threads because it's all about "Yeah I told you so, feckin Rafa what a tw@t" etc etc.

It is easy to understand why people don't want to post after a huge loss.  It's heartbreaking it's depressing why would you be in the mood to come on here and read people revelling in the fact that they were proven right.  Who gives a feck if your opinion was proven right when we're on the brink of losing out on our title.  The modern day fan is a hard one to figure out, they all seem like bandwagon jumpers to me now.  I'm young and I used to be the type of fan that would root for a player and whatever team they were playing for, not the team though just the player.  I've fallen for LFC, it has changed me as a fan and it makes it very hard to read all the things everyone post here.

Add the fact that Man U were better than us before the season and we weren't supposed to even win the title let alone challenge and it is hard to accept all the constant criticism.  Did anyone expect us to seriously challenge? Honestly? It was seen as a goal for the season but not a certainty.  Now that we have challenged you can't accept the fact that we may not be good enough quite yet?  That's bollox imo.

The only thing I will be upset about at the end of the season is that we may go trophlyess again.  The rest I can forgive and forget.  A third trophyless season and unfortunately for Rafa he hasn't built up his resume enough for us to be accepting of that.  Next season for me will decide whether or not he is the right man for the job.  This year there has been too many distractions and injuries.

Do you think he got that as a lump sum? Deduce the money from his CL runs. The CL win. The FA Cup win. The Carling Cup run. The flogging of dead wood. I'd say it wouldn't be a kick in the balls off the 100 million mark or maybe even lower that he's had to spend on a total rebuild of the team and reserve team. I'd love to see the players we would have gotten if he had 200 million to spend outright. I love it when people like yourself just say "oh, he's spent 200 million". It's not as cut and dry as that..

I think it's time people stop spouting the same sh*te over and over on here. I think the questions should be asked:

1) Has Rafa taken Liverpool as far as he can go? Can he take us any further?
2) Has he made us progress as a club?

1)Yes and no. For varying reasons.
2)Without question.

Exactly. Or, in other words, been given that from a 3rd party to spend on players. I'd say it'd be at least double that, though.

How are we going to attract fesh blood into this forum when all we do is slg off the team, the manager, eachother, parry, Moores, the owners etc... its tedious lads, freakin tedious.

OK here's an idea why don't you start a thread then, instead of just b1tching about it all the time. Maybe new members want to talk about how much they dislike Rafa, did that ever cross your mind? As you may have noticed not everybody is blindly devoted to the current regime.

On another point I do find it incredible how I get 2 cards for more or less feck all while Lando can stomp around the boards for ages, insulting and threatening people and creating untold flame wars as much as he wants and only very occasionally gets into trouble. There is such a huge bias in his favour and its sad because its damages this forum.

People are frustrated and want Rafa out - thats understandable but great leaders have to persuade their backers to support them with the means to defeat the enemy, not just words. England's history is full of great vistories when admirals and generals wupped asses all over the world but even they started as lowly 2nd Luitenants (bast@ard of a word to spell).

Rafa isnt world class yet, his 'ships' arent world class as his 'government' isnt willing to invest in the arms/ships that he needs.

England built the greatest empire ever seen as we had political backing = money, the best ships, cannons and the best trained sailers.

Write all the b-o-r-i-n-g threads you like but dont waste my time and everyone elses jumping up and down screamng because you dont like it when if he was fired the next guy coming in wouldnt do any better becuase he too wouldnt have the support, money or players to win the league either.

Interesting way of putting it, reg. Though I agree. Especially with the latter part of your post regarding the next man coming in, who no doubt will be a "yes" man, and thus we will all have to settle for mediocrity before he inevitably gets the jing. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Not really. In context that answer refers to the past, whereas the first regards the future.

Rafa is not going to change so why kid ourselves that anything will be any different next season.

I have seen enough to convince me that we will not win the title under Rafa Benitez.

I'd love if he proved me wrong but I doubt he'll get the chance.

Rafa to go.

Progress means nothing without trophies

If you are saying Rafa has taken us as far as he can then there is no point in him staying?
