I only have sketchy memories of him as a kid, but when he was talking he had an aura about him. A fantastic man by all accounts, and those who knew him were privilaged so to do. Not only did he drag the club upto greatness, he left behind a legacy of the bootroom from which other great managers were plucked. What he did for the club will never be equalled IMHO, RIP Bill Shankly.
