It doesn't matter does it? No one should lose their life at a football match, regardless of who they support.

RIP Heysel 39, YNWA.

I was driving down from Chorley in my old battered Mk11 Escort to watch the game with my father. I was late. Dad opened the door and I knew something was wrong. We sat in silence watching the trajedy unfold.

I'm now married to an Italian. From Torino, where we have many friends. I've seen Juve play a few times with them. But even now when the conversation turns to footy I go silent. No, I cant take my place at that table. Not yet. Maybe never.

RIP, little consolation for their mothers, brothers, wives and friends. :no

It matters to me when all 39 were labelled Italians and Juventus fans even though they werent.

One was an Irishman who was certainly not an Italian or a Juventus fan and shouldnt be included amongst the Juventus dead.

Interesting read, as an international fan that had no access to football at all until about 5 years ago (cable tv) it is often hard to find out about these things. You would be suprised how many "Liverpool fans" in Australia dont even know the first thing about Hillborough.

RIP 39

Fair enough mate, misinterpreted what you said a little. Apologies.

I think it is terrible how Juventus players seemed so happy after the game. They won a medal - so what? they knew many of their fans had died.

The most shameful night in LFC history - I better not write what I think of every one of those hooligans with our scarf wrapped around their face.
