Who are you most like? - - a footballers thread -

Gonna start up another new (hopefully interesting) thread here for those of you who play football...

Who would you liken yourselves to on the football pitch?

Do you play like a certain player? - Do you try and emulate their style?

Quite obviously we are not as good as the lads that pull on that famous red shirt (or any other prem shirt for that matter) but, are we similar in our stlye of play to anyone? ???

----

For me, I first started off as a central defender while I was at primary school, but soon moved to a central midfield role aged 11. For my school and college I was a box-to-box midfielder, sort of a cross between momo (using my defensive upbringing) and gerrard. But having said that, I am more like Masherano, in the sense that I can track a player well, incept passes, tackle, break up play, but also distribute and ocasionally shoot on target as well!

Being honest I don't have the greatest shot in the world (or even on my team!!)  but I like to beak up play and also create for others.

Another good thread.

I used to play right back and occasionally centre back for my club, I'd compare myself to Steve Finnan - not just because he plays for Liverpool, just because his style is exactly how I used to play. I didn't/don't have fantastic skills but I can do the basics very well and read the game well, when needed I could get forward to help out.

When i was a lot younger i likened myself to Neil Ruddock, but as i grew older its hard to say as i play anywhere on the pitch. (Yes im that desperate for a game.) :D

I like to think I play like Steve McManaman who was always my hero when I was a kid. I always go after defenders and I can play on both wings and in the middle. I also have similar hair, just longer.

I played midfiled for my primary school team and was similar to gerrard, playing box to box helping out with the defence and getting a few goals. I played in my secondary school team as a striker as I had blistering pace so I was more like an Owen running onto through balls as my finishing was very good. I remember scoring seven goals in one game for my school in game we won 13-0. Ahhh those were the days :D For my local club team I was striker again but i only played a couple of games for them but scored a couple of goals.

Im out of footy at the moment but I've been training and developing my game more into a Ronaldo of old style striker - quick, strong skillful and a lethal finisher. Im looking to get a semi pro club this summer.
