His mate Brian also played and was the goalie.

On one occasion during the game the ball was passed back to Brian......who, at the time was adjusting his radio in the back of the net...luckilly the ball went wide.

On another occasion play was slow....when all of a sudden  a crunch was heard...it was Brian who in his boredom had broken the goal post by swinging on it!

:D

methinks you had the hots for brian,  :nod

Surprisingly I didn't fancy Brian in any way, shape or form..  :D

I was only a wee lass at the time and he was married with 2 kids.

Everyone knows how the olds like to re-tell stories of their youth... which is fine.

My dad likes his footie stories and Brian was always somewhere around doing something he shouldn't.  :p

George Best.

No? OK, I'm a defender, like to get stuck in and tackle a lot. More like Peter Crouch at heading despite being 6 foot 1, can lay it off to people well but rarely get power behind it.

Got plenty of pace, stamina and a will to win. Dunno who to make comparisons with in the Liverpool team, but from United I would like to think Heinze (minus the playacting and elbows).
