Hope this doesn't sound too laughable...but I really like 'Come Dine With Me' on channel 4 and 4+1.

Love the witty cracks of the commentator and was most surprised to find there is a 'Facebook' topic on him by his admirers!

:D , have seen it a few times and yeah, the fella's comments are a laugh.

Started watching a show called "JUSTIFIED". Stars that fella who played the sheriff in Deadwood , Timothy Ollphant, plus a few other familiar tv faces.

First few episodes I thought, just another cop show, and not a particularly good one however half a dozen episodes in and storylines are beginning to knit together. Good show not great yet but worth a watch.

While never watched original though loved the best intro ever

Looking forward to seeing what the remake of Hawaii five O will be like

Starring Scott Caan , Lost's Daniel Dae Kim, Alex Mcloughin and with BSGs Grace Park providing the Totty factor should hopefully be worth a look

Anybody watching anything new which is worthwhile on TV at moment or it all World Cup. Now that it is drawing to a close, I may be forced to watch the re-runs

Glad to see you finally caught up. Mentioned it when it first came out. Blood, guts, nudity, lesniac action what more d'yer want from a tv series  :D .

Not to be taken seriously but if anyone enjoyed "Gladiator" or "300" they'd probably enjoy this.

As the series progresses the plot thickens and you do (well me at least) begin to wonder what's gonna happen next.

I did a bit of googling on the characters and Spartacus' main rival Crixus was an actual character back then who split from Spartacus after the slaves revolt. Whilst the TV people have taken some liberties in the name of entertainment they have at least done some homework.

Well worth a watch

can't find that flippin' 'new shows' thread anywhere... anyone seen it?

anyway, has anyone watched or been watching Tremé? its a ten parter from the guys who wrote The Wire, set in new orleans - or more specifically the tremé neighbourhood of new orleans - a few months after the floods. it features a few characters trying to rebuild, or carry on with, their lives and a lot of music. in fact, the music is probably the central theme of the whole thing as the defining aspect of the new orleans identity.

the guy who played Bunk in the wire is in it, as is the guy who played lester freeman, as is the ever brilliant john goodman, as is the amazingly gorgeous lucia micarelli.

its not got the amazing plot and intrigue of the wire and maybe a couple of the characters are slightly stereotypical, but its a brilliantly casted and acted drama and well worth watching.

I've seen one episode and it didn't really grab me but I admit I had just finished The Wire and was invested in Bunk, Freamon etc. rather than these new characters.  I think I'll rent the show when the DVDs come out and give it a proper go.
