Cricket, I'm gutted I'm not there for the Ashes. Last time around, I went to Lords on the last day of the first test when it kept raining and England only had to survive for about an hour and fecking chucked it in. Then I went to the Oval for the first day of the final test. A few of us went and got stuck in, I got absolutely b0ll0cksed (stupidly so) and we had a drink after in a bar outside where all the barmy army were. Fecking brilliant day though. I watched it on the news next morning and realised Strauss had got a hundred, fecking silly really getting as p!ssed as that but it was hot, the beers just kept coming, one of the lads was on a mission etc etc etc.

A big fight is amazing. Unlike football you don't know how long it will last and unlike football if you make a mistake it might be too late to make up for it, or you might dominate your opponent for 11 rounds and then make one mistake and you lose. No other sport (bar other combat ones) compare.

I also like the UFC, took me a while to grasp the wrestling skills though.

Spoilt for choice right now, Two weeks of Wimbledon (How good was the final). The Ashes starts in two days and three weeks of the most gruelling sport in the world The Tour de France. How those guys race for hours up mountains etc is beyond me although in years past the shadow of drug abuse hung over the tour they seem to have cleaned up there sport. Would be amazing if Lance Armstrong comes out of retirement and wins again.

My top three sports after the beautiful game are:
Cricket...England and Lancashire
Cycling mainly The Tour de France
Rugby League......St Helens

Agree with you on Armstrong, with what hes been through an all. Do you know what though i lost a bit of interest in the tour de France when Indurain stopped riding ,

An for some who said the boxing is cr.ap at the mo , its not all about big name heavy weights. theres some cracking fighters around at lower wieghts, Theresa good little fighter from Australia watched him on the telly months ago an even though he got beat i said then this lad is gonna be good, theres still some good little Mexican an phillipino boxers around an all , an cracking little amateurs, i actualy cant wait for the Olyimpics to go an watch the boxing, There doing the Archery an Show jumping near my house

I was under the impression that Armstrong is a bit overhyped because the "real" cycling fans knew that he was sort of a one trick pony and only wont the Tour de France

I dont think winning the Tour seven times makes him a one trick pony. To win the hardest sporting event in the world even once would make you some kind of legend in your sport but to win it seven times having recovered from cancer makes him a legend PERIOD.

The 2009 Tour is only 3 days old and it looks like one of the most exciting for years.

Boxing.....2 semi naked men in leather gloves trying to touch each other  ???

Just kidding  :D I used to watch boxing when I was a kid and remember sleepovers at mates' houses where we'd chip in to watch the heavyweight title fights on sky.

There are problems with boxing now that mean I've no interest at all...lack of personalities, availability (I've not got sky now),  and also the length of time between big fights.

I tried to watch a bit of MMA but it seems to end up in wrestling and ground work most of the time whereas I prefer kung fu style fights.

I've voted for motorsport because that's what I watch most apart from football. F1 needs a major overhaul though. The technology is so advanced that the cars become unstable if they get within a second of the one in front. No overtaking = no excitement.

Touring cars is the most enjoyable to watch but all the major manufacturers dropped out which is a real shame. Hopefully with it gaining more coverage they'll re-enter.
