However, I do get tired of the nazi/BNP comparison. It's ridiculous and very invalid one and I actually think it's dangerous in many ways to keep playing that silly card. It makes people thnk that they've been lied to when they check the party out and find that they are nothing like what they think the nazis are.

I disagree. I think many people are enticed by the soft BNP policies on immigration, etc and do not do their homework on the core beliefs/constitution of the party. If people knew how racist the history of the group and it's continuing white supremacist motives they would not support them.

Also invalid is the holocaust/BNP policies slant. The nazis didn't set out to destroy the Jews of Europe from day one. The war brought them to that conclusion. It "worked out" that way. Nobody in the nazi party was thinking final solution in 1933. Likewise, I doubt the BNP would contemplate what the nazis contemplated in late 1941.

Agreed but the Nazi party made significant actions that eventually led to the final solution. The holocaust was progressive. From the early 30s Hitler removed civil rights from Jews, lost jobs, school places, they even weren't allowed to marry "Aryan's". Sound familiar?? Sounds to me a lot like the BNP stance on marriage.

There's a huge difference between the holocaust of 1944 and the racial segregation before the war. Without the war, there would have been no final solution.

Either way, the holocaust analogy for the BNP is way over the top in my opinion.

Likewise, for the nazi/BNP comparison. There isn't one. Sure, people will be drawn to the "softer" policies, but for their oposition to keep harping on about the nazis every time they mention the BNP is ridiculous.

I'll have you know that people in Northern Ireland are NOT part of Great Britain but are part of the United Kingdom and are as equally British as anyone from England,Scotland or Wales!

well I only say that as people from the republic of Ireland come from the Archipelago that is sometimes referred to as "The British Isles" Not everyone recognizes this name for the Archipelago, but pretty much everybody calls the largest island of the Archipelago Great Britain.

Not that I care about political distinctions, but even the UK calls it the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Which means whoever thought of that name thought that there was enough to distinguish. Why not just the United Kingdom of Britain?

I think that group has a history of announcing demonstrations and then withdrawing at the last minute. They are just looking for attention that's all. I doubt it will go ahead.

Im sure the UK islamic society has already publically condemmed Islam4uk. But that won't solve anything. My motto is, if you don't like it here then off.
