But I just wanted to ask for everyone's prayers, yesterday my brother in law(not technically but we loved the guy as our own, everyone did), who is probably the most sincere and generally good person that I know, was in a freak accident on his bike and is now in a Coma in the hospital.  He had a lot going for him, just bought a new house and was surely enough going to marry my sister soon.  I don't understand why these things happen to people like him and it is very unfortunate that it has, but I'm just here to ask for support and prayers for him.  We're hoping for a miracle here and if anyone ever deserved one it is him.

Very sorry to hear this mate.  I'm not much of a praying type, TBPH, but I truly hope your sister's fella makes a full and speedy recovery.  Keep your chin up, mate.  YNWA.

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

sorry to hear that mate, i really hope he pulls through.

i know what you mean with the question about why these things happen to people like him. last september a very close old friend of mine was killed on a bike because some wánker in a camper van pulled out on him without warning. he was also one of those people that inspired and was loved by everyone that met him.

the good news is that your man is still alive and we all hope that with the right care and attention he will pull through.

Things like this do put other issues into context that we argue and fret about.

Sincerely hope he makes a full recovery mate and you and the family are all ok.

Yeah, it really was a freak accident though, he invited friends to see his dirt bike and was just riding it in a little field next to his house.  He turned around, started heading toward his house, and the brakes went out.  He crashed into the side of his house.  He wasn't even doing anything dangerous just going back and forth on it so he didn't have his helmet on.  I still can't wrap my head around the situation we are now found in.  Something so odd, random and completely unexpected like this to happen to him of all people is beyond me.

Thanks for the support by everyone though and I do hope that he pulls through soon.

Sorry to hear that mate

Best wishes

One of my workmates was severly injured after being struck by a car at Christmas and ended up in coma with a very bleak outlook. He awoke after nearly a month and while its a very long road ahead in rehab his recovery has astounded the doctors so never give a hope

:(

My thoughts and prayer are with you and your family, I hope he pulls through and bring happiness to the family again. No one really knows why these things happen to good people, mine would be destiny.

I had a friend in university who was a good bloke and he was about to graduate from university as well, unfortunatly he had a car accident a really bad one, he passed away while he was in a comma.
