Wales - Has anybody ever been there ?

Lookin' to save a bit of money this summer by taking a hopefully cheap driving holiday in the UK.

I've been all over the world but apart from a few camping holidays to Caergwrle as a kid I know b'ugger all about Wales.

Is it worth a visit ? Was thinking of spending a week just driving around off the beaten track from place to place, good idea ?

If so where should I go ?
