It's 55,000ft! Your windows are safe, trust me.

A comment on the times website made me laugh -

"Iceland has farted on the UK.

Is it retribution for the credit crunch freezing of Icelandic assets?

We'll never know."

Despite some disruption to the airspace and its infrastucture and the relatively low level risk in general. The event has produced some stunning imagery of Nature at its most revealing.

A lot more interesting in any case than listening to these f*cking politicians knocking one off the wrist live on the telly!  :glare:

UEFA are monitoring the Icelandic ash cloud situation ahead of next week's Champions League and Europa League semi-finals.

Liverpool are due to travel to Madrid on Thursday to play Atletico while Fulham face Hamburg in Germany in the first leg of the other Europa League last-four clash.

A UEFA spokesman said: "Obviously we are aware of it. At the moment we are just monitoring the situation and we are hoping matches will take place as scheduled.''

In France, Ligue 1 leaders Marseille's match against Boulogne on Saturday night could be postponed. Marseille's problems in making the 569 kilometre trip have been exacerbated by a train strike shutting the TGV route from the southern city to Lille.

Some impressive pictures there Red

Dispersing yes, but still erupting that's the worry

Following the closure of all UK airports due to a massive dust cloud, Merseyside police have swooped on Goodison Park.

Edward Johnson (trophy room cleaner), will appear before magistrates at 10:00 am tomorrow. :D

Not only that but people are saying the eruption could trigger an eruption from a neighbouring volcano. btw that one is even bigger.

I had my flight to Amsterdam cancelled today, not happy at all. I got my Hotel money part refunded but they took the 1st night and only selected insurance companies cover this sort of incident.

I've rebooked it for next month so so fingers crossed it will be ok, or at least it will give the EU enough time to build a massive fan to plonk in front of the UK for next time.  :p

btw Torres probably won't be able to make it back for the West Ham game.

In other news - i've just emptied the contents of me hoover bag into the big bin out the back. (Yes i refuse to go 'bagless' just yet....)  Primarily out of support for the 'MEF' movement. To you lot - thats the 'Mangles, Ewbanks and Floor cloth's'  appreciation society, setup in 1968 to provide a voice for those who are protesting 'with gusto'  against the stink of bleach and other such nefarious 'fluids of the underworld'

The amount that emerged [from my hoover bag] could well have made matters worse!  Infact i wouldn't be surprised (wind direction prevailing) if there weren't a few provincial airfields here and there compromised with the added poor visibility or perhaps even a small airport somewhere in say, Humberside - that isn't at risk as a result.

:no  Positively 'ballooned' out and up into the atmosphere in great wafts of s.*i*e....consisting mostly of the usual disintegrated household detritus along with a hefty proportion of fag ash, 11 year old dust from behind the fireplace and the ochre tinted shards of my recent decomposing toe-nail clippings.

Well, the ones i hadn't got round to eating yet anyway...
