A thread that fits in well with silly season....



IF you could have any ONE superpower what would it be?

Three rules:

1) You cannot have the superpower to be almighty.

2) You cannot have the superpower to be 'God' - that is strictly reserved for Robbie.

3) They must be superpowers for yourself; you cannot claim to have America as that is a country.

Here are some suggestions:


i) The ability to fly..

ii) Invisibility

iii) Invulnerability



I would go for the ability to travel through time.

I'd go back to the 70's, invest in Microsoft and copyright the internet.

I'd also place bets on all the football results in the future.

Then I'd go back and poison Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini before they were well known... and a few other dictators.

I'd also make sure the manc team got beat by Forest in the third round in 1990 so that Fergie got sacked. I'd become the hotel head chef and serve off date prawn sandwiches giving them a bout of food poisoning the night before.

I'm sure there's plenty more, but those are the main ones.

I'd have to kill you next time we meet. Anyway, I'm not too sure such a thing could be copyrighted. Meaning, roughly, it was a military project first, and then used by unis, but even if you copyrighted a network and it's protocols, somebody else would think of the idea of connecting two computers and make up other protocols and ways of doing it. That's why even if they create an INTERNET2 with more restrictions against piracy, the old way of internet will still work, despite it has less servers or backbones to sustain it.

I'd pick invisibility with the power to be transparent to go through walls if needed. You could sneak into places in which important decissions are taken and be a millionaire anyway with the privileged info you have.

You haven't seen Back to the Future 2. You'd destroy the space time continuum or some other bollox like that.   

Invisibility is the way to go, just think of all those ladies changing rooms you could perve in.    
Not to mention sneaking into bank vaults and nicking all the money.

Yeh, but morphing won't give you invulnerability, what if you morph into somebody and you're killed because of someone killing that person. Invisibility would give you instant safety and you could also mess with people making them believe they're seeing ghosts!!

I'd definately go for invisibility...

but would love to be a 'fly on the wall' sometimes...

Sooo, I'd love to be invisible...but be able to be wherever I wanted...me thinks it would be VERY interesting
