Ha ha I was basically saying there is not enough on board memory. 64 gigs is fairly small for netbooks/notepads these days and it's not like you can attached an external hard drive as there is no USB port to plug in.

For those of you techy ignorants, I will show that my technology is almost as good as the Ipad.

Image

Clearly this technology is shíte and not much better than my I-rock.

I don't think this will succeed. I don't imagine people at 8am on the way to work carrying one of those.

We'll see posh girls of big companies showing things in those thingys as they are extremely cool, but I don't think the people in general will find this useful as the I-phone.

Perhaps the day in which they investigate a flexible-membrane screen and the i-pad can be rolled or something, yes. But in that format? I think it won't be a massive success.

Should have many of the things above mentioned.

i think people are confusing the ipad with a computer, or a phone, when clearly it isn't. its a multimedia device, for browsing the web, sending emails, playing games, and watching movies. jobs said that they wanted to occupy the territory between laptops and smart phones and i think they've done that. whether people want to buy it or not is another matter, but what i've seen from the demos is that even from just the game playing and web browsing perspectives it really does offer a new level of experience and interaction. for that alone i think it will sell, even if it is short of many of the features that most of us serious computer users would demand.

The USB thing is a pain but the changable battery has been done to death already with the iphone and that battery is fine. And to be honest I was an avid S60/smartphone user prior to the iphone and I always had issues with the battery. Do you know why they made those batteries such that they could be removed? Because they were :censored: and were bound to break down at some point hence the easy access. I have been on the iphone bandwagon since the 3G version and I haven't had a single issue with battery life since so as far as im concerned this is a non issue.

Anyway the pad is using an in house CPU with low powered screen so you will see battery times better than most netbooks/notepads.

As for multitasking it's common knowledge that this situation will change drastically when the next iphone is announced, why? Because OS4 will be announced then.

I don't really get why anyone would want a camera on this. It's meant to be a casual device for surfing or watching vids. Also I would assume many who buy this would already own a camera or camera phone with half decent camera already on so that s just overkill and would bump up the price which might I add is very reasonable given this is Apple we are talking about.

This pic is basically just some anti Apple nonsense by people who still can't produce a UI to rival OSX with multitouch.  :eyebrow

I would think a front camera would make sense for things like video chat, but I don't think anyone would carry it around to take pictures with.

Seems useful if all you want is something to browse the internet with, but don't need all the extra features or price that comes with a laptop, but with a bigger screen than a little phone.  I am thinking about getting my mom one, maybe I will wait for the next version.  ALso could be good for little kids in the back seat of cars  or on airplanes because its bigger than a psp and you can watch movies on it without squinting.

I agree for things like skype calls yes a front facing cam would be good but that article wasn't really clear on which. It makes me wonder if this doesn't have it then will the next iphone have it? Shame if so.

To be honest if given a choice id still take an iphone over this, if I didn't have an iphone of course. That screen size is more than enough. If I were being picky maybe a higher screen res although im not sure if Apple would be able to scale up all existing apps to fit.

I'm sure Mr Jobs has it all worked out. He usually does.

This will be massive. In a year every big name will have an 'I-pad killer' but none of them will come close. Apple will release updates and new versions to address the current issues and make more money. Mark my words.
