Don't worry you get another hot looking chick warrior when you become Thane of Riften. You know you can marry your servant! But I wouldn't do that if I were you they would just moan and cause a headache lol. Marry a nice looking girl who would provide income.
I just love exploring the place, its a massive world

Just been browsing the internet. Apparently on PC and PS platforms Skyrim is riddled with bugs.
A Techie journo has published a piece lambasting Bethesda for their poor quality control (game testing) suggesting that if you bought (for example) a car with so many faults you'd return it to the vendor and get your money back.
He does acknowledge that the game is awesome and it seems as though despite it faults the sheer popularity of the game with fans of the series has allowed the publishers to get away without due and deserved criticism.

BTW I've started getting loads of keyboard freezes and laggy mouse action with Skyrim.
Anybody else playing Skyrim had these problems ?
Fixing the ini files will stop the mouse being "laggy" and change the field of view from being only suitable for a console to being right for a computer. The FOV when you get it is about 80..... I changed it to 90 which seems about right.
Easier to just copy the instructions I used rather than trying to explain. :-
How do I fix the crash to desktop?
Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound
In the Playback tab, right click on Speakers (or whatever has a green tick next to it), then click Properties
In the advanced tab on this new window, select 24 bit, 44100Hz (Studio Quality) in the drop down menu
How do I fix some sound issues, such as hearing static during NPC dialogue?
Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound
In the Playback tab, right click on Speakers (or whatever has a green tick next to it), then click Properties
In the advanced tab on this new window, select 24 bit, 44100Hz (Studio Quality) in the drop down menu
How do I disable the smooth mouse settings?
Go to your Steam Directory -> steamapps -> common -> skyrim -> Skyrim
Create a backup of the SkyrimPrefs.ini file
Open the file, then scroll down to where it says [Controls] and find bMouseAcceleration=1
Change to bMouseAcceleration=0
Save, exit, and play
How do I fix the vsync ("laggy mouse") problem?
Go to your Steam Directory -> steamapps -> common -> skyrim -> Skyrim
Create a backup of the SkyrimPrefs.ini file
Open the file, then scroll down to where it says [Display]
Add to the bottom of the section iPresentInterval=0
Save, exit, and play
How do I change the FOV?
Go to your My Documents -> My Games -> Skyrim -> skyrim
Create a backup of the skyrim.ini file
Open the file, then scroll down to where it says [General]
At the bottom of this section, add fdefaultfov=XX (where XX is the FOV value you want to change to)
Save, exit, and play
