He shown Hopkins for what he is an old man who was hiding behind one punch that he caught Calzaghe with in the first round. After that he cried, moaned and whinged all the way through it The Executionor ? hes a fly swatter at best. Great performance from Joe thats how a true champion fights, he goes for it he doesn't run around the ring wasting time he thought his fellow American judges would bail him out and they rightly went against him. He offered NOTHING

It was close and could have gone either way, neither really impressed, but if its close like that then the guy doing all the work and pressing will get (and should get) the decision. I don't really buy into the hype of Calzaghe, although he does enough with his work rate, but Hopkins was a disgrace, feigning injury throughout, only one low blow got anywhere near his tackle, his age showed as he looked tired at the halfway stage.

Not bad for an arl lady couple of hours sleep and raring to go agaon :p Im knackerd and would still be in bed if my grandaughter hadnt stayed with us last night.

Calzaghe took the fight to Hopkins and deserved the win i said before he would tire early not a great fight imo but you can expect that from someone whose 36 and 46 . Im still not a fan of Calzaghe maybe if he would of fought bigger names when he was younger and on top of his proffession then i could have judged him proper against the great fighters . But he fought an over the hill Hopkins, What a different Cortez than the Hatton fight .

Calzaghe is a proper N0b i can't stand him the arrogant litle tw..at he thinks he's good because he's fought nobody's and know won on points against
a 43yr old great like Hopkins, he wants to retire like Rocky Marciano, i fookin doubt it lad you are a gob.. :censored:.

Just got up but not fully awake yet :D Although not a great fight by any means I am glad Hopkins "Lost to a white guy" serves him right for A) Making a stupid statement like that in the first place and B) Running around the ring all night.

I agree about Cortez Nanny if he had let Hatton fight like he let Hopkins who knows what would have happened

i think Calzaghe should think of calling it a day now.  Yes, he won, but he didn't look that convincing.  It also isn't good when you need a split points decsions against a guy in his 40s!

Quit at the top Joe and don't become another fighter who tars his reputation fighting "one more bout" for cash.
