Thatcher was a bigger cunt than what people give her credit for. When she croaks it, I'll probably have a pint. Absolute b"stard of the highest order.

Perspective: The unions had brought the country to its knees.

Me dad was at fords, in his twenties with kids, mortgage, bills etc and he had to go on strike all the time over stupid petty union stances, nightmare years.

Nothing to do with socialism...just that she was an evil tyrannical dictator with total disregard to the ordinary man on the street....police on the politcal payroll the "free" press force feed lies to kid the populus.......if we had huge oil reserves the yanks would have invaded years ago and strung her up like Saddam  :) ......I suppose the promise to send "our boys" to die for the USA anytime ,anywhere kept her from the gallows .... :(

I don't want to start an argument or anything like that BUT didn't see just not like things that didn't offer a return? I don't know much about what went on during her time, it was well before I was about so if someone could educate me I'd be happy to discuss this. Afterall, I do vote for that party so a bit of background info would appreciated and might even sway my vote :D

btw I'm aware that 'she brought Liverpool (and Newcastle) to its knees', I want to know how, rather than simply slagging her off left right and centre  :D - I have my own ideas but getting the info from someone who lived through it would be interesting

Watch 'Made in Dagenham' it even relates to the ford workers in Liverpool and see how the Union for women was only out for themselves and not the people they were supposed to be backing.

When I was much younger during the early 80's Britain/England had the 'Baby Boom' or so me Mum and Dad told me. During the cold winter months (down south for sure) they had 'blackouts' for a couple of hours every other night during the week. The coal minors, electricity companies (one of them mob who supply power) would strike. Me Mum said it was f.ucking freezing and dark, married couples snuggled up during these times and BAM - the baby boom began.

Maggie also sold off thousands of council houses, again I can only speak for the south, she sold them off for home owners. Leaving many people stranded, some people thought this was a strategical move making home owners come into the market, the mortgage was much more expensive than the rent, and this prevented many people wanting to strike all the time, as they couldn't afford too.

It is a massive north south thing. There are reasons she got 3 terms, personally i couldnt stand the labour/socialist ideals, the IRA at it's height trying to bomb her, the strikes and all that.

A good start would be to read up on her attitudes and treatment of the football fan....the un-educated,unemployed heathens that gather at football grounds.

Not even gonna bite in this thread . Suffice to say i will be dancing on the slags grave because it is personal you see it's very personal . I could give two fecks what anyone else thinks that's your prerogative.  Greavsie lad you can watch whatever you are told to watch and you can form an opinion from there mate . My opinion is formed from personal experience , personal experience of what she did to me ,my family ,my city and many other working class communities up and down the land . I lived it mate so i think i'm pretty qualified to decide for myself what type of person she was and what type of government she led. All i'll ask is ,when your researching ,do it with an open mind and not with any agenda and i reckon you will come to only one conclusion .
UP THE PURPS !!!
