There is a very strong rumour here in Manchester that he wears a wig and the whole saga of him dropping out of the Ireland squad was because one of the Irish players tried to pull his wig off :laugh:

Supposedly the chap's a nutter, I read an interview with Damien Duff a while back and he said that he though though he was a bit mad himself until he met Stephen Ireland,:D  Good player though.
