Spiders are harmless creatures, if you leave them alone.

Here's an interesting fact for all you people who suffer from arachnophobia. The average person swallows upto eight spiders a year.

Enjoy your sleep, I know I will.

I agree whether you swallow eight a year remains to be seen, but I'm certain you swallow the odd spider here and there.  Doesn't the thought of a spider crawling into your mouth make you cringe?

I wouldn't like to wake up, sit up and see that first thing in the morning or this:

Beautiful creatures though.

I've just looked it up. The general concensus is that the average human eats 8 spiders in their sleep IN THEIR LIFETIME - not per year.

Using that information, may I suggest (while bearing in mind that it is unlucky to kill spiders) that the day following these midnight munches are the days that nothing goes right. The day that the whole world seems against you and everything goes tits up.
Just a thought.

Cant stand them either. An absolutely collossal one ran across the floor the other night when we were all watching most haunted , and my wee fella roared like a banshee -I was relieved it was only a spider .
Some of the not so big ones are crafty, yer just about to whack thme and they drop to the floor and hit turbo mode ...

:D  i dont mind spiders it the misses that screams at the sight of 1. I went to watch the lads play footy the other sunday (im injured) and the ball went over the bar into the forest behind the goal so i went in to get it, i must of walked through about six cobwebs trying to get the ball and another six on the way out, i got back to where the lads WAGS were:D put the ball on the ground then thats when the screaming and mayham started unbeknown to me there was a huge blighter sitting on the back of my head, i looked round to see what they were screaming at then i could feel it walking around on me hair. I put it on the floor but still watched the rest of the game on me todd because they wouldnt come near me :( .  If there is anything that scares me its got to be wasps im always being told leave it and it wont harm you ........... :censored: that if i got 1 buzzing round my head thats when i go into mike jackson dance routine trying to slap it away

One of those spotty legged spiders (who look like they've got really long socks on!), has made it's web on the outside of our dinning room window.
It's quite interesting to watch it while yer having yer toast - especially knowing it''s on the outside of the glass!  :D

btw give me wasps anytime - not scared of them at all - I like to catch them in me jam jar.  :p  :)   And put them outside, I hasten to add!
