the speaker of the house of commons has been forced out for the first time in 300 years.

I think he deserves it and hold him in very low regard, any man who tried to keep the public from knowing the rip off attitude of politicans deserves to go - I'd throw fruit at him if I saw him -and had fruit :)

politicans in all countries, and in europe, are ripping off the people, they call for pay cuts to control expenditure but then vote themselves pay increases, expenses etc.

remember all this comes from a leak, every politican that claims they support reform is a liar.

Yeah hounded out by the ones that spend our money on plasma TVs,porn, new furniture and basically lining their own nests by stealing our money!

Its not the speaker that needs to go its the slimey kunt MPs that are sitting in luxury as I type this..whats gonna happen to them?
Absolutely Fu'ck all!
I fail to see any glory that the speaker has gone, but then again I never understood any of your political views over the course of 5 years,so it would be strange to start now! :D

just to look at things from a different angle here... i think the people as taxpayers and voters are also to blame.. in overestimating the benefits and levels of public expenditure and underestimating the cost of government and tax price and how much you pay for public goods and all that...  you just provide politicians with an opportunity to rip you off your own money without you knowing that they are doing so... the tax structures, undisclosed government expenditures... all the BS thats fed to people, is bought by the people ... its fiscal illusion... you have governments inefficiently growing in size, with people thinking they are being done favors with such expansions, when in fact 9 times outta 10 using a private market to organize and oversee certain 'matters' if you will would be way better off...

its a matter of time before things change to the better i think ... it starts at the very basic and local of levels and builds its way up ... the more you know or are allowed to know about such things rather, the less the chance of it happening and the more the chance of things being done differently in the future....

Amazing isnt it? the politicians hounding the speaker to resign to try shift the focus onto him. Yes, the speaker was wrong to try keep it covered up, but the politicians are as bad. They didnt have to claim the ridiculous things they have, lets face it before the claims, there lifestyle is pretty cushy as is.

How long would this system have gone on if it wasnt leaked? There all sorry, sorry that we found out what is happening. Sorry for someone leaking this information. They are not sorry for the things they have claimed, just that they have been found out. It stinks, the whole situation stinks but come the election, its not going to get any better. Many people want an election now, why? what difference will it make? We are still stuck with the same corrupted lousy parasites. Its not an election we need its a total overhaul of the entire house. We need to start from scratch. Yes it will take time, but hell id rather things stay as they are for the time being while its sorted rather than suffer it getting worse.

yeah i think he was just a scapegoat for everyone else's mistakes and incompetency. i dont know him well enough to hold him in any form of regard high or low. but i feel he has partially been a victim himself.

What I don't understand is, why aren't the fookers been arrested. This is fraud of the highest order. If any of us had been fiddling the tax man or any type of benefit we would be up before the beak and doin a 5 stretch.
