Look at this they are complaining about the state of there statue they had got of Ted Bates. Its awful!

It's clear as soon as you look at it, the proportions are all wrong, with his head too big for his body, legs too short and his hands and the football just look wrong. Even in the detail, his face just doesn't look that much like our beloved Ted.

That Saint fan describes it all. I wouldn't pay the statue to the one who did it.

That's shocking, it looks like a cartoon figure and an insult to a great football man, I wonder what his family think to it? Surely someone gave it the nod in the planning stage before it got this far?

Oi! i grew up down here! It's pretty shocking. Will have to pop in and have a look the next time i'm in town!

I take my students down to St.Marys for a stadium tour every year and can you believe they don't have a replica of the FA Cup (Saints only trophy beating the mancs in 76) in their trophy cabinet. when i asked why they didn't have a replica trophy the guy told me it was on order! It's been 31 years!

The fans aren't to happy down this way just now.

Just seen on the news that the statue is coming down within 48 hours! The sculpter wants to add an extra 5 inches to the legs (give him some Spice Girl boots!) but Saints acting Chairman wants a new sculpture built instead.

That sculptor shouldn't get anywhere near it again. He should never have accepted the job - he clearly does not have the ability to do it properly.
