Nope.  Try persistent, aggressive and unacceptable levels of abuse--and not just in response to other posters either.  There are many ways to defend and support (or indeed constructively criticize) the team that don't require torrents of insults that have long since stopped being funny.  Pity that some people never seem to get that.

Well Lando had a better class of insult , infact i would go as far as to say if you were insulted by Lando it was more of a compliment . FFS the lad had been on here for ages and everyone and i mean everyone new what he was like regarding his insults . It wasn't personal iit was a friggein artform at times . It a shame that another long term poster and one of the characters of the forum have been shafted goodstyle . Do you know what this lad done for drummerphil and the visits he made ? I tell you what phil would be spinning at the state of this place  and the way long term members are being sh!t on left right and centre . Instead of characters we have to put up with drivel and character assasinations instead . Lando was one of the good guys believe it or not and one of the better posters on the forum before this place deccided to have a humour transplant . How many long term members is that we've lost in the past 6 months ,a friggen shedload and this place is poorer for it . Maybe it's natural wastage ,you know like in a place of work where people retire or find other jobs or are sacked .
Well i'd say this place is getting hit by the credit crunch and in danger of going into administration the way it's being run and the way it's long term members are being treated . Having said all that i won't be going anyywhere and i'll still be sticking me orre in ,surely theres got to be some balance d'yer think?

NO ? Stu is stu , we've seen it all before and the talk is all brovado . He's a good poster when he has the mind . The place needs characters and needs to grow some Bollox , none of it is going to hurt you or make you have a sleepless night . People need a virtual slap sometimes , it keeps the board alive and not just some oneliner posting moaning bitchfest of an internet footy forum . I can count on one hand the number of good thought provoking , discussion provoking posters on this forum now . The rest have all been ground down or fecked off .

Stu is a poster I appreciate, the problem is sometimes he starts pursuing decent posters and must be controlled. Sometimes he focuses in Ciggy and we don't like that. He needs cards sometimes.

Just as I don't find funny the suicide comments of Lando I don't take those comments literally. Stu is yet another case of poster you can't take literally. Just Yesterday I had a footie talk with him after a while, and he told me that he knew in his sunday league more clever players than Kuyt.

I answered back a smiley (because I've seen lots of lower league football and I've seen how "cráp" players are masters when playing against them)

He told me why I laughed, and that my laugh proved I have not footie experience and I was clueless (sounds familiar?).

You can't take him too seriously in his words. For him you're clueless just means I disagree. It's his way to press you and you explain your position, and if kept in healthy levels, that footie inquisition can be even healthy to the footy discussion, as many times we give many things for granted. Stu's best is not in his "clueless" and in his "behave Sabre", you have to go beyond that (and I don't mean sex, just in case).

He told me that because I just smiled, but when I explained my position he just kept discussing.

Come on mates, relax. For the record I'm not protesting, just commenting. I like this place, it's huge and the people you dislike are meaningless compared the dozens and dozens of people you like. I was offered a while back to join another forum by AB, and while it was more polite, and the reds there were nice, I'd never change it for this one right now.

Woof, don't take personally Zidane's comment. Whatever is the path newkit is taking, bad or good, it's not the moderators fault. The moderators just do a thankless job. It's up to the posters to set that path. What happens with Igor, is the same thing that happens to Lando. He comes here not happy because the archrivals drew, he sees insults to the players, he's even more angry, and he sees a poster he appreciates banned and is not chuffed about it. Had we won the other day, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

P.S. If my comments come across like a protest or a moan, I'll stop it here. It was never my intention.
