Igor I don't agree with you mate, it's not the mods fault. There was a thread a couple of weeks back where they were called allsorts for not stamping out abuse. They acted here rightly or wrongly, and people can't have it both ways.

FWIW I think that the thing which posters find most annoying about both Stu and Lando (since they come from different endsof the spectrum) is not so much being called a "shrivelled up scrotum" by Lando, or a "clueless bellend" by Stu, it's probably more to do with both lads refusal on occasions to even accept that the other guy is entitled to a point of view. They both on occasions instantly go for the ridicule angle rather than actually arguing the point, which they are both good at anyway so there's no need.

Maybe the bans were harsh I don't know, but it's never an easy call. I don't believe the forum is in a aporticularly bad place at the moment either to be honest. There are some good new posters from all ends of the spectrum and just occasionally you get a cracking debate. I cop miles more abuse now than I ever did, but I'm big enough and ugly enough etc etc.

i never saw what was so clever or funny in lando's torrents of abuse myself. ok, he had a collection of 'hilarious' words like genital, pustule and scrotum but so bloody what? if the only way he saw fit to respond to any criticism of the manager or the team was to unleash a torrent of aggression at someone, and then pass it off as his 'special' sense of humour, then i don't see what he contributes to any kind of discussion except to fan the flames of more and more arguments.

Shame that Andy because you'd be no doubt very good at it. You're level headed, calm and well respected. You also aren't attached to any particular camps from what I can see.

Must be my sense of humour then as he made me laugh .. Toilet humour is a great British tradition and Lando was a great exponent imo . Harmless fun twas all it was . You've been here long enough to know there was no malice whatsoever meant in his tirades. There you go though , one man's bottom burp is another's sh!tty undies i suppose.

I want to make clear my opinion and the defence I make of Lando is not against the mods. You do a hell of a job here, and I'm grateful for that. When you card someone is because normally you have reports of users.

I just accept Supits' thought. But I ask to make a deeper thought than that (1).

Why has been Lando carded? for abuse. Right. we all see that.

So, is it that hard to understand that just as people react and report when Heimdall and The Rock are insulted, people will react when the players and the manager are insulted?

Have you seen Lando going into a tirade of insults to S@int or Bigmick despite they're clearly not Pro Rafa? No, you haven't. Because they stick their opinions to football. They may talk about selectorial sillyness, but that's talking about the team selection and it's fair enough. They don't call the manager a clown, or a bástard.

That's the thought I wanted to share. (1)

And a suggestion. If the aim of the forum is to keep peace and footie discussion, take notice of how many decent posters avoid match threads because of the bitching going on. It's all right to punnish a member that insults other members, I'm just saying that in a Liverpool forum, we shouldn't read insults to players that could be perfectly said by the next Manc.

I hope it's clear this is not an attack to your job. I just have to defend Lando's attitude, because he doesn't insult whoever disagrees with him (like others that have been banned) but the ones that actually insult OUR managers and players. And sorry for being blunt, but I know Kuyt just as much as I know Heimdall, and if it's not acceptable to insult Heimdall and cards come from it, then you have to ask if it's fair to call Kuyt a wánker and a retárd. If people are interested on why people jump, if people are interested in why Lando goes mad, it's because of that.

Well I'm trying to be the defending lawyer here don't expect full accuracy and objectivity. But I'm very honest when I think that the main reason of his tirades are not the disagreement or lack of support to Rafa, but the insults to Rafa or the players. I honestly don't remember Lando insulting Mick for his rotation talks for instance, and you can see full criticism in his posts.


And when you're offered the mod  job, accept if if you ever want your WIFI to be fixed.

He gave it to people who deserved it ,, you know the ones , rafa's sh!te , sack him , alonso's get rid , or mascherano or kuyt or lucas or babel or aurelio or who ever you want to name .. No objectivity ,no constuctive critisism , just bile and sh!t . So they got it back ,, good on him .

I normally like Lando but I have to admit he got on my nerves in that match thread.  As much as I understand his rants and seem to share the same camp as him its not the way forward as threads all too often just fall into slanging matches.

Keep it to football and let those maniacs dig themselves bigger holes

We have all enjoyed some of Lando's "blasts", however comments such as

(sic) "If I send you a knife will you promise to slit your throat" are light years away from being funny . Sadly in recent times Lando has increasingly allowed bile to over rule humor. I see no reason why members of this forum should continue to be subjected to it.
