About time I suppose..

:D

Psycologically it's a big win for the US. But in terms of fighting terrorism I don't think it will make that much of a difference. He had been on the run for the last 10 years so operationally I don't think he was still that invovled with al queda.

What id be worried about now is reprisals. In fact just last week I read that senior officials in the US believed that Al Queda is in possession of a nuclear device and it would be used in event of his death.

Ayman al-Zawahiri
Abu Yahya al-Libi
Khalid al-Habib
Adnan el Shukrijumah
Atiyah Abd al-Rahman

You reckon it's that bad now? I think these guys are still the main active leaders. If these guys go, ok some others will try to take their place but I think taking all these out will prove to be a bigger dent to fighting terrorism than just bin laden.

But we are seeing more and more young extremists emerging and trying to bomb areas, remember the new york subway incident? or the attempt to blow up an airplane? these are individuals who aren't exactly related to Al Qaeda (supporters more likely and extremists) that got trained in bomb making.

If you told me that if Bin Ladin was killed years ago, then definitely we would have seen a major change. Maybe taking out the others on the list would dent the organization, but I don't think it would be a major change

Yeah it is people and their sometimes misguided interpretation of things that cause the problems.

But daws, the Bible, esp. the new testament is about love.

The second new commandment is to 'love your neighbour as yourself'. This is sometimes a difficult one.

It is easier to hate than to love.

Agree.

He hid in one of the last places they would suspect.

Why hide in caves when he can have a 2 storey house in Pakistan.
