MH, I just hate them sooooooooooooo much. How did a team so bad I think I could them by myself make it to the semi finals just to get steamrolled by the f*ckers reserve side.

And Bob, while you use ''Christian fundys'' taking the bible to extremes, I'm pretty sure you won't get passages like this in the bible - "Prophet make war on the unbelievers and the hypocrites and deal rigorously with them. Hell shall be their home." (Surah 9:73). That is the difference, one ''holy'' book demands a group to go to war and deal rigorously with them, the other doesn't condone abortion but neither does it say wage war on the 'non-believers of life' i.e. Abortionists.

That's my point, one book incites hatred and violence towards non-believers, the other doesn't, and the other (bible) doesn't have 61% slurring hatred and violence towards another faith i.e. Muslims.

Its because these extremists are not driven by moral codes that the Quran has set. These extremists use the Quran as an excuse to exercise their power on the weak and the illiterate.

Why would they kill their own people following the same religion?

Pretty valid excuses from the quotes we have seen though.

You said the Koran doesn't have any chapters.  :D

And that is how you (who appears to be) a moderate Muslim stands by his faith.

:D

then there is a difference between how a fanatic interprets the Quran and how a moderate muslim of the faith interprets it too right?

We cannot assume one side of the coin

"Fighting is obligatory for you, much as you dislike it." (Surah 2:216)

AND/OR,

"If you do not fight, He will punish you sternly, and replace you by other men." (Surah 9:37-)

Nothing is said about other Muslims voicing their opinion about the interpretation. According to the ''Tawba'' (aka chapter 9) there was an act of war. Al Qaeda are the aggressors in 9/11 and other bombings.
