Anyone know owt about the new style tranny vans??

I'm looking at buying one. I've a choice of two.

1. 2001 Ford Transit 260, MWB semi high roof, 2.0ltr TD, 80,000 miles

or

2. 2001 Ford Transit 350, LWB semi high roof, 2.5ltr TD, 83,000 miles

question is, whats the expected fuel consumption on these vans and will the two litre pull the skin off a turd, uphill?

Yes Paul it's for the band. We used to do some dives back in the early days. Did a pub in Hyde, Manchester one night and got chatted up by a bloke called Aunty Eric, that was funny.

Played at a pub in the centre of the Hill Top Estate in Leeds on a Saturday night. Place was full of afternoon drinkers, all arseholed, yelling abuse at us. We we're halfway through our first set and a fella picked up a table and threw it across the room at us, then got on the stage and started throttling our bass player, he never missed a note!!

This was all back when we were playing anywhere we could get a gig. Fortunatly, we now have agents & only play clubs/Festivals/holiday camps (Butlins/Pontins) and organised events.

Them were the days...................
