it seems the new James Bond will be Daniel Craig, born in Chester and raised in Liverpool and on the Wirral. his film bibliography is not great although he recently starred in Layer Cake and had a bit part in road to perdition and tomb raider.

He's a very good actor: probably the most talented actor to play Bond.

I'm not sure of him as Bond, though.

The people who played Bond.

Sean Connery and Roger Moore really had the Royal Shakespeare Company banging on their door.  :D

BREAKING NEWS

Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg is the surprise choice to play the leading baddy in the next James Bond movie. The Swede beat off stiff opposition from Graham Norton, but enough about the night before the auditions.

A speaking person from MGM said “Graham and Freddie both had the attributes we were looking for but Freddie was the clear winner… especially after his trick with a marrow.”

You can see Ljungberg star as the title villain in ‘Brownfinger’ this summer.
