Former EastEnders star Mike Reid has died at the age of 67.
The actor suffered a heart attack while in Marbella, Spain.
Before he landed the role as Frank Butcher in the BBC show, he was also a well-known stand-up comedian.
Fellow comic Frank Carson said his death was "devastating news."
Reid joined the EastEnders cast in 1987.
Despite several breaks, he remained on the show until 2000 when he announced he would be leaving the soap for good due to tiredness from the long filming schedules.
