Terror police swoop in London

Armed police investigating the 21 July attempted bombings have surrounded two properties in a block of flats in west London in a major operation.
Eye witnesses say they heard three shots and a large explosion as officers wearing gas marks entered the property.

The area, around Basing Street, near Notting Hill, has been cordoned off and the area has been evacuated.

One eye witness says a man dressed in a white forsenic suit has been taken away in an unmarked police car.

Looks like the 4th is in the bag.Cue all the bleeding heart do gooders. No doubt we will have someone banging on about there civil rights.
Big pat on the back for the good old British bobby. The 4th was arrested in Rome, vote of thanks to the Italian authorities.
Pity we got rid of the death penalty, could have had a good old fashioned lynching.

Luckily when terrorists are involved the laws surrounding how interrogations can be conducted are different. If a suspect has information which could save lives then harder techniques can be used such as sleep deprivation

these 4 c*nts will be going through hell at the moment, and rightfully so

.. it's interesting that this comes from a nation created of immigrants ... did these people adopt the indigenous culture when they claimed Australia for themselves ...  ... This is Gods earth.. and when the natives of Australia had there lands taken from them, their adults castrated, to dwindle future numbers, whilst  the wealth was shared amongst the new community...did anyone stop to think about whose land it was then... whose culture and traditions were being dessemated to etablish this new world  .. NO

.. culture is not static.. it evolves as nations and populations change.. just as people from britain live in other countries.. like-wise others come here and there and everywhere.. adding to the history and traditons of a nation...

.. why ever a woman would want to cover her face on an ID badge :D is beyond me.. however, integration is not about loosing your values and beliefs rather about embracing and adapting to where you live.. yes learning the lingo, part taking in or respecting traditons etc .. and taking the best of both.. from a culture of heritage to one adopted through migration etc etc ..

...most of all our nations are developed enuff and multi-cultural enuff to know that tarnishing whole communities with one brush.. is rather immature and unnecessary..

What are these "our, our, our, our......" words!..

I have no prejudice against Australians and i like Kewell, Emerton, Schwarzer etc..   :D

However, there are native people...The real owners of these lands..That's what disturbs me..  ???

This is exactly the point Zara, you have summed up integration perfectly.I AM NOT AGAINST PEOPLE COMING TO THIS COUNTRY,If they do come all I ask is they respect our way of life,as we should respect theirs.

.. lol I had a an inspired moment there Baron.. :D I think the views that you express at the end of that quote ( your orginal long winded one :D ) don't quite fit in to this ethos.. I don't begrudge you your feelings.. but let me remind you that whenever other countries have been the subject of colonisation/cilivilsation these processes have historically subjected the indigenous population and exposed them to values and ideals that are not necessarily always condusive to there lifestyles..

In the current climate where bigotry and prejudicial views points can become prevalent.. we must keep perspective and remember that the actions of a few.. must not focus us on the majority, who are law abiding citizens .. and unecessairly scrutinise the way people dress or look.. for this is the making of hatred and divisions... catch the criminals and terrorists.. be vigilant, but avoiding further unecessary tensions within our communities... is the only way to defeat this evil..

I think I quite fance being an immigrant somewhere, but only somewhere nice and hot & sunny where beer's 10p a pint

For that I'd happily learn anybody's lingo and be part of their culture  :nod

On a side note, has anybody seen many Afghan women? If you have then you'll know why the burkha was invented :D
