yeah, dont ask who told me that... just getting all these rumours. i heard 6 confirmed blasts, all stations. saw that bus, looked like it had been opened witha tin opener

Dawson99 you are correct. Nothing major at Heathrow but the airport has been been affected very badly & staff have been send home. My mate from HM Customs & Excise just rung me & he has been sent home. My dad is a bus driver for London Buses & he's sent home too. All London Bus stations in Greater London have stopped operating.

truly shocking scenes today. at first the news came through that there had been a "bang" in the tube from an electrical surge, then came the reports of the bus explosion and it was still being linked to a power surge then lots of explosions were happening and it became a major terrorist attack. shocking and saddening. been watchin the news for the past 3 hours on this news

I have just found out from my mother that a close friend of our family was driving the bus that blew up in Londons Russell Square, he is in hospital as we speak fighting for his life. I hope for the sake of his wife and three children that he is ok.

Almost certain Al Quidya, or a related group.

Makes "sense" (if you wish to call it that) as probably the most hyped G8 meeting ever was about to convene. The whole world was looking to Gleneagle for developments on poverty in Africa, so what better time for a terrorist to grab the headlines? :angry:

Al Quaeda have admitted it. It's headlined on Sky News homepage.

A previously unknown group calling itself "Secret Organisation al Qaeda in Europe" said it carried out the attacks as revenge for British "military massacres" in Iraq and Afghanistan.
