I just hope so much they dont pay the ultimate price and never see her again.

Unfortunately, I have a feeling that's exactly what is going to happen. They will have to live with the one question in their minds, that being "Was our quiet evening dinner worth worth leaving those children alone in that room?".

You can't lay the blame with the parents in this situation IMO, they were checking the room every half an hour to see if they were OK.

:no

I'm with you on this Ace, LFC2007 that is Bollox mate.

yeah i was surprised when i read that, and i doubt very much that they did check every half an hour.

the blame lies 100% squarley at the door of those parents

I agree with all who blames the parents.

I hope they find her, she looks like a really sweet girl  :(

Who should take the blame then?
Fair enough, having sick people within society who abduct children doesn't help, but at the end of the day, the moment you have children they are your responsibility, it is your job to protect them and keep them safe no matter what. I'd die for my kids and i think any decent parent would do the same for their kids. Unfortunately, this couple made a mistake of not using the holiday complexes babysitting services when they really wanted a night out, and as sad as it is, it doesn't look good for the safe return of Maddie. This couple will have to live with the fact that their choice resulted in a terrible tragedy for the rest of their lives, so although i believe they are at fault, i also believe that they are already recieving more than enough punishment.
You can buy all the quality you like, but without desire, passion and the insatiable will to win, it’s nothing.

You can have your opinion, I think yours is bollock.s aswell BTW.

I was left on my own plenty when I was younger and for a lot longer than 45 mins. Yes they could have left her with a nanny or someone but I'd rather send my condolences to the parents and think of the missing girl rather than judge them on something that you cannot foresee, ezpecially in a resort notorious for its serenity.

If a paedo/abductor is going to get their way, they will find a way, somehow somewhere. If it wasn't this litle girl it might have been another one.

It would also be unfair as we don't know the EXACT circumstances which they left her in e.g. the layout of the resort, neighbouring rooms etc..., how often they checked the room, windows/doors, proximity to restaurant etc....

I just can't fathom what it's like for her parents at this moment to be without their youngest daughter, I just hope she is found soon.

There is no point in getting into one of your long and drawn out debates about this, I dont really care if you were left alone that means feck all. You cannot defend the inexcusable no matter how you want to dress it up, its bollox.

Bottom line is, the girl should never of been left alone, simple as.

Bamaga, I don't intend to get drawn into a debate about this.

I have my OPINION, you have yours, end of.

I'm not getting drawn away from the fact that they could have done more, but it is something no-one foresees, and yes there have been cases of Paedos going into homes with their parents still in the house and going missing. They find ways, because they're inhuman, if they set out to grab a child, they will in all likelihood succeed somewhere along the line.

My views:

* The little girl should NEVER of been left on her own at her age in a foreign country.

* The papers wouldn't half change their tact if it wasn't a weatlhy famliy.

*Why is everyone in Liverpool feigning interest?

A pair of twin two year olds and little maddy who was 3 (nearly 4), i wouldnt leave them in the house while i nipped the shop, which by the way is less than a minute away.

You cant protect your children from everything but you can do all you can not to place them in vulnerable situations.

They never, and nobody is being unsympathetic, everyone is desperate for that little girl to be found and her abductor/s brought to SEVERE punishment.
But those parents will have to live with what they done, and imo it was inexcusable....especially as there were facilities for babysitting in the hotel.
