It's very easy, S@int. Just a click, and a confirmation click. For any mod.

I agree. I'd delete the shameful arena thread, as it provides nothing good.

But then, look at the responses in this thread. Would the people accept the decission? would they instead ask why are they deleted or locked? ??? This is a question, not a discussion.

Bigmick, a poster I respect both as poster and mod, decided to lock it but not delete it. Probably so that the fighters yesterday see what they did, and why they were warned. Hopefully S@int, both of them will realise they made a mistake.

I was't meaning delete threads, but just the offending/offensive posts. It seems to me that with the posts deleted, its maybe sometimes easier to move on than to be reminded of past indiscretions or insults borne.

I do understand that sometimes people need reminding of their behaviour, and it may be better to just lock the thread.

I also understand it could cause as many problems as it solves :D

Yes, that modus operandi is something I've done in other forums S@int. But as a mod, I feel part of a team of mods, so I'll discuss that option with them, and take a common decission.

I was out of order in the what you look like topic, and if mods can delete posts to clean things up maybe they should in that topic.
But I swear on my sons life I did not pm Stu I retaliated to his pm calling me a slut and not knowing who my childs father is, and I have every right to.
I have probably deserved a warning before now I know I am not innocent far from it.
But I will not let some sh.itty @rsed 23 year old talk to me like a piece of sh.it.

Ciggy, your contribution in this forum is well known and appreciated so I won't insist on that.

I've noted both your suggestion and S@int's and hopefully the other mods will read it soon and take a decission.

It's not your fault only, I failed to moderate both of you aswell, and the arena thread has proven to be a not good idea. So I apologise for that again.

Ciggy, keep your good stuff, and move on.

Same for Stu, he knows well what parts of his contribution are appreciated (football) and what he shouldn't do.

What do we have here? ah, the usual, Sabre being accused of something he hasn't done

Just to make clear something to you Woof Woof, in an aseptic way, I respect every other mod's decissions, and I back them completely, under any circunstances. So if a mod that has more experience than me in this task decides to lock a thread, I'll back him always. And if an user keeps the discussion of a locked thread somewhere else, that alone, will be a reason to lock a thread.

In the case of the Stu thread, there were serious insults towards you, and another member, Southcoastshankly, and that's enough reason to lock a thread.

So there you have two reasons to lock that thread. And this is the explanation.

Sabre chill out for f'ucks sake . Sure we're having a little laugh and taking the p'iss at how quickly you (?) close down some threads .

I used your name in response to Barry's post
I blame Sabre the super mod!

Talk about a jobsworth! :D

FFS any hint of a scrap and he's in there like lightening!

Don't feel wounded by it , it not meant to be that serious .

I maybe a lot of things but I am not a liar, that pm frfom him really hurt my feelings so he achieved his objective, but did anyone really think I would sit back and take that?
Then they are very much mistaken my heart is in the right place and I am emotional about a lot of things, but over my dead body will I let anyone abuse my child.
And certainly not through some feckin bully on an internet forum that I dont even know.
Sticks and stones etc, but names do hurt no matter how the saying goes.

I have taken 3 cups of coffee this morning as I didn't sleep well, I'm about to fall asleep over my work's table. I cannot be more chilled down.  :D

Just tried to answer questions in this thread, sorry to sound serious and as a teacher of sunday school.  :)

Again threads seem to be being locked for no apparent reason. No abusive language no offensive or racist posts yet the thread was locked.
