Is it not possible to allow a couple of the more 'sensible' lads on here the capability to tidy up some of the mess that gets dropped as and when...i don't mean full blown moderator status, just more in the vein of caretaker roles.  Like for instance last week in the wake of the draw. Because it will continue throughout the entire Champions League Group stages and beyond. At least (if it IS possible) there are one or two extra pairs of eyes out there who would be able to alleviate the existing admins workload.

Plus, anybody of a sensitive nature, or who is easily offended (sometimes, understandably so) given the nature of some of the types of abuse and disturbing images hurled this way...wouldn't feel as though they were wasting their time making any sort of contribution (the whole point...really) to a forum that had been infiltrated, thus still being able to debate all the current issues.  The good banter remains...the odd gem of an oppo supporter can still participate..and the mods don't have to s.hit the bed in order to give themselves extra jobs in clearing it all up.  Everybody wins then. Old hat i know..but its getting to the point where people are reducing their input on here.

For those who criticise me, fair enough, I can take it.  If you're not happy, tell me.  Sometimes I rightly can't be arsed with this place (I come on here to enjoy it like everyone else, not just to sift through posts to see if I can clean any shit up) and I don't see why it should matter that I have signatures switched off.  Am I missing out on something?  I know I built half of them but I've got no intention of loooking at them anymore. 

Touché to Kharaz for the alcohol comment.  Very good comeback.   I DO have a social life outside this forum though believe it or not.  I do get blitzed a lot with my mates.  I don't get much free time, there are not enough hours in the day for me unfortunately and if I don't feel like coming on here because I've got other things to do, I won't. 

I'd like to know exactly what people think this place requires in a moderator?  Some "superfan dictator moderator" like off RAWK or something wher everything is taken far too seriously?  You're best looking elsewhere if that's what you expect from me then...  Other than that I'm happy with my contribution.  Sorry you're not.

Unfortunately for you JMac your the most popular mod and your input into this forum is excellent, thanks for the fantasy rafa doo dah ! However it seems like you are the only one here, the other night with the turks could have been handled better, not by you personally but by any mod. Some form of communication amongst yourselves would have been handy, as in im off out can ya keep an eye on things?
As it happened nobody was on hand to handle these people posting images of death over a football match that will take place. What id like, bit of common sense I guess.

personally i think bad bob would do a good job, he is on a lot and also in a different time zone to the majority of mods, he is also a good poster

just to be clear i have nothing against john, he has been a mod on here for years, but i just think his attitude at the moment when there is a complaint is wrong, take bigmick for example, i have never seen him act sarcastically about a complaint, he tends to deal with it without complaining and doesn't try to belittle the person compaining. (oh an i never complained about the invasion by the way, i am jut giving input on the moderating since the thread headed in that direction).

its like i said, people who don't want to be mods or don't want the hassle shouldn't do it, they are not forced to do it, they know there are things to be done so don't complain when things pop up

Oh I complained, and I think I have every right to, the only mod I see lately is JMac, and your right all you see from his responses are sarcasm.  I also think hes the only mod on here who answers to the people who ask questions.

Bad Bob, I remember raising a topic on Gerrards new contract and bitching about it and he replied with an answer that made me sit back and think about what I was saying, and in that respect I agree theres just something about him that says "Leave it to me !"

I don't see timezone being that instrumental. With the exception of the Sao Paolo idiots once, most of the abuse is coming from supporters (right..) of the continental clubs, who are there or thereabouts on at the same time as the majority of the lads on here. Its either the Champions League or the odd cup game when there are 'invaders' gatecrashing and in need of a slap.

Bob would be my choice as well (if thats even up for discussion at this point). The lad hasn't a hypocritical, whingeing bone in his character...at least none that he displays out in the open.

i know bigmick tries his best but when he off the site is empty, if one of the other mods is off during their day there is normally another mod to cover it.

if you look at now, there is no mod, if someone with a grudge decide to spam up the forum it will take some cleaning up when a mod logs on, giving them an hours work instead of a minutes work

Peewee, I really don't know what your point is.  Is this really when I wasn't online when some Turkish fans came on?  What do you want me to say here?  Do you want me to throw the towel in?  Is that what it is?  It woudn't affect my posts on this forum either way.  Do you want an apology from the mods?  Apology for what?  I really don't get this? 

However, not for the first time, you've got too much to say for yourself on this, when a few months ago (and if you really want serious from me, here it is in all it's glory...) YOU PERSONALLY YOURSELF caused me and the other mods more work and more complaining PM's than I've ever had to deal with on here, for someone you point the finger at doesn't want or need the job or can't be bothered with it.  You're very quick sticking the boot in, but it appears you've got a short memory.

Just saying how I see it.  You clearly wanted me to bite on this, you've tried it with St Mick saying he does nothing, there you go, have your fun with this now.  Someone (else) to vent your anger on and have yet another spat with. 

It ain't going to happen with me though because as much as you say act the big man on here, it seems to me you always need the last word like a petty child who just won't listen to other peoples opinions. 

I admittedly did that years ago on this forum with other posters who I disagreed with, now it just puts years on me.

If the mods and admin finds necessary to be helped in their good work, I'd like Bad Bob, he's my friend.  But since that's not good enough reason, I must say that I'd feel comfortable with Babu, Red37, Leonmc (where's your candidature lid?) and many members that haven't been proved as mods, and could do the job. But that's only if the mods think it might help them.
