I installed a program yesterday from UKtelly.tv to watch some programs that I had missed , it was a free trail for a day, I deleted it because the tool bar was massive now Microcsoft internet explorer doesnt work anymore.

Im on aarons pc now, but I really need my laptop for work and stuff.
When I click on internet explorer it says this system does not support it.

It is saying proxy server key fault when I try to log into my hotmail account.

Ive tried reg clearer, repair, Ive installed Microsoft again but the page is just blank.

Ive even put the laptop back to two days ago when it worked and still no joy.

Any ideas guys?

im not that clever with computers so in laymans terms please :D

Scan your PC with Spybot Search and Destroy. Sounds like you have a trojan.

Ive done that Neil and its still the same, Southcoast Ive also done spybot and it hasnt worked.

It cant be the modem because Im on the pc upstairs using IE and its from the same wireless connection.

Ive tried the repair button but it just says, problem cannot be fixed.

heres a screen shot, cause I cant explain it properly.

It sounds like you have a trojan.

You could try Hijack this, downloas and run it.

Then google a hijack This anayliser and copy and paste your results into that. It will tell you what do delete and what to keep.

if all else fails redo your list to Santa and be a good girl for the rest of the year

That sh.ite you installed was probably jam packed with viruses, you've got to be careful, I wouldn't download any programs unless i was sure it was safe

I think the application you installed gave you a proxy server. When you uninstalled you removed the proxy server but it left the option to have a proxy server ticked. Just untick the proxy server option and you should be ok Ciggy. Right click on your I.E. ICON. cHOOSE THE CONNECTIONS TAB and then see if its left you with a proxy server option ticked.

If that doesnt work, just right click on your I.E. ICON, click on Advanced tab. Then click on reset. This will restore I.E. to original condition.
