Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. But still, I think they've generalized the phrase now so that even non-Jewish Americans say it just out of habit. Especially in big cities like New York. I think there's another saying the say other than happy holiday's. It's just so plastic anyway. When someone's a c*nt at Christmas, people always say "don't be a c*nt - it's Christmas!" Yeah, like that really makes a difference. People seem to try to be nice for one week (or  2 f*cking months as it is now) of the year, then go back to being c*nts again. Not everyone, like. Just some. I hate it.

Same as New Years. Everyone's all jolly, then BANG! next day back to square one. Nothing changes on New Years Day.

Happy Holidays is such a pile of PC nothing-ness....
I've worked extensively with US peeps over the years, and I deliberately ignore them when they say it. And I go out of my way to say "Christmas" instead.
Man, I've been there almost a dozen times and I just know I couldn't live there. They'd drive me nuts...

isnt it nice that on christmas day people are a bit nicer? it would help if this happened all year but christmas is the one day where families may get together when they wouldnt normally, and people are justa little more giving. personalyl i see that as a good thing!

Aye, but still. I mean, why just be nice just for the sake of being nice? Isn't that just fake? As plastic as a Christmas tree. Sure enough it's nice to be nice, aye; but doing it just because everyone else is, is just a little bit sickening.

Bungle, I didn't want to enter a separatism/terrorism discussion neither, and in order to not offend anyone I included my very own basques in my example. But back then there was a generalization, a few criminals, taunted the name of the whole community, and you and I know that's unfair. That was my point: Combatting criminals is nice, defending a nation's values is nice, but we cannot blame of all that problems to the inmigrants as a whole.

I agree, I've just bought a big issue off a fella wearing an lfc hat (that why I bought one ) outside Sainsbury's , turns out he's from Walton , for those that don't know it's just up the road from Anfield, wtf is he doing in London !

I actually don't mind the French. Sure they may grate on the nerves a little and a slightly pompous or arrogant tw@ts, but that's strangely what I like about them. They stick to their views, are somewhat bullheaded about them, but I like that for some reason. Maybe because I'm like that myself a little.

They also have a nice colorful culture. Some great artists and writers. Even the Mona Lisa resides there!

Anyway, I've a brilliant idea and getting bang on topic. Why not shoot the men at the borders and let all their women pass and into the country instead? The first MP to come up with idea will be hailed as a hero and I shall vote for him.
