The media would not be allowed to show most of these images - they're too graphic, there are plenty of reports that show images of a similar nature - just not as graphic - that emphasise the suffering of those in Iraq.

True the average news station would be showing some of those pictures. But my problem is that the average western news outlet rarely shows the innocent victims caused by our own boys.

Obviously a war will be graphic, but if your not shown a truly neutral report of the situation how can you ever develop a neutral opinion of the situation.

I don't think there is an imbalance in what is shown, there really are plenty of reports that give a balanced take on the issue, and that do show the suffering of Iraqi civilians. Dispatches, Channel 4 news, Sky news, Panorama - they all show very graphic images and portray a fairly balanced view of the situation. They just cannot air a torrent of graphic images in every single report as it would be unethical and would be undesirable to watch.

Channel 4 has the best news for showing what is happening. Sky News is terrible, "terrorists fighting against our brave boys who the majority of Iraqis love for liberating them" etc

American news is even worse, I remember seeing their news as the war was in the build up phase and it was called "showdown with Sadaam" like a cowboy film and you could watch the "shock and awe" as a superpower's "heroic pilots" bombed a third world country (nearly) from thousands of feet above (in no danger) into the ground killing loads of innocents.

Sky news is nowhere near as biased as you are making out, although they are the sister network of Fox news they do not compare in terms if bias - Fox take the biscuit by a country mile.

Fox take the p!ss but ABC, NBC and the rest are much more left wing.
