the guy from countdown, his name escapes me.

At this time also I think we should pay respects to the tsunami victims from last year and think of michael shields in bulgaria.

Yer me dad's aunty passed away in the summer, when i were younger she used to tell me of how she stood on the kop every week and told me of all the songs she sang. At one point (and she was sober) she put her hand on my shoulder and sang all of YNWA. She also sang we all live in a read and white kop and songs about roger hunt. You should have seen her face when my blue nose cousins walked in the room, the disgust was there to be seen  :D  . I don't think she actually missed a game back in the 60's - early 80's era. The only money she really spent was to go to games.

Gona tell yous a little story now, a very close friend to my family his name was Frankie, he got me a job on the oil rigs when I was 21 he left word with all the scousers onboard to look after me.
He was the most hillarious fella you could ever meet my dog bonnie a jack russell idolised him, cause he would come in the house and sing coronation street at his highest stem and bonnie would be howling to the corrie song.
Used to laugh me feckin head off, this fella was the funniest person you could ever have met.
Then went out to work in the Falklands.

On a rig and got medivaced back to the UK to Birmingham cancer hospital, he had bowl cancer. Neitherless to say his condition deteriorated but he didnt when I went the hospital to visit him he would say, aye girl have yer brought me a Jamaican woodbine and some lager.

And  me and him would sit off in the telly room havin a spliff and a swig of beer from a coke bottle, and he would have me cryin with laughter. He would say Ill be out soon girl Ill be alrite.

But in all the years I knew him he was a Swansey fan he married a welsh girl years ago and got supporting them, but he was an evertonain when he returned me and him used to have some right awl banter over him bein a bluenose.

But he died in June and his request was to be buried in a Liverpool shirt and the last hymn to be played leaving the church was You'll Never Walk Alone

This was typical Frankie to even make people laugh when your gone.

Good night Frank and God bless, you was a great pal and I will miss you dearly xxxxxxxxxx
