Sums it up for me in one 'to the point' statement. What members THINK mods have and haven't done, what they THINK the reason is so and so left isn't fact and there is a lot of speculation.

I would like s@int to come back, a thread to try and achieve some kind of 'peaceful resolution' of beefs and grudges wouldn't go amiss. To anyone considering a 'drastic' course of action, I concur with supersub in saying this is ONLY a forum, I would suggest taking some time off and winding down. The problem is everyone comes on here at the worst possible time, when they are most likely to have a barny and I have found some of the pointless and childish abuse unacceptable. I deal with it in my own way, every offence to the dickheads that have goes at me including the 'stalker dickheads' who think I give two shits whether they want me to stop posting stats or not - yes, I do ignore you, like someone on the internet is going to dicktate to me how I do things.

Some of the antis and the pros should grow up a bit and accept that they can't browbeat everyone into line and repeating the same thing over and over doesn't make it any more right (or wrong), as happens sometimes in debates - it isn't last post wins as some internet warriors think who probably don war paint before logging on

So this thread sums up the boards at the moment, rather than everyone take responsibility for their part in dragging the forum down, there is an 'up in arms' strike which will unlikely do more than drag the forum down still further. Best course of action would have been to politely air views to the mods, request feedback on actions/bans of some members and then go from there.

I had noticed a decrease in the number of posts, it is kinda nice to have a lot less aggro so perhaps those 'on strike' should take note that they all go away and the problems decrease significantly...................................... Sadly these boards reflect society and the way (downhill) it is going. I wonder if anyone on here bothered reading the rules when they signed up.

Come back s@int, sort whatever your differences with whoever on here was. I can't promise the boards will be a nicer place to 'live', that is up to the people on here - or not at the moment as the case probably is

I think a thread calling for the return of the s@int should have been the first move by the strikers, and I don't mean Torres, Babel, N'Gog and Kuyt. Vote now for the return of the s@int

btw, this thread is also an excuse to link the theme to the series which is top notch, Ian Ogilvy version rules. As a mass protest, have it on your ringtone.

If the debate is whether the mods have special guilt for the downhill of the forum, let it be. But I for one rise my hand and claim I have as much or more guilt than them in it.

I agree John Doe, the forum is nothing more than the sum of all of us, and it's downhill is a matter of us.

Ok strikes over, Sabre admits the decline of the forum and Liverpool's below par performances this season are all his fault.   :rasp

For what it is worth Saint is a good guy who put a lot of input into the forum, came up with good articles about the club and was generally quite funny. Having said that he did seem to go off the rails in the last few months (my opinion). He also did stick up for me once so for that I am grateful.

I think its time now to end the strike as there is a danger of it causing real damage to the site, which is something I am sure none of us want. I think everything that could be achieved by a show of strength has been achieved, and to continue now would be of no benefit to anyone. I can now post again and Mick is no longer banned, but of course that has nothing to do with your actions (we really do need a sarcastic smilie)

No matter what some people have said I think you have proven over the last few days that a few people CAN make a difference.

I would like to thank you all for sticking up for what you believed in, and for all the PM'S and messages of good will and support I have received (even some of the Mods where kind enough to add their good wishes, if not their support)

Most regular posters have seen what supersub has been doing over the past few months, bullying, carding and banning people for no real reason. He insults people and when they reply they are carded or banned, and now his latest trick is removing their posting rights. The only thing that has surprised me over the past few weeks is that so many people have been willing to shut their eyes to what has been happening and said nothing(Apart from in PM). Presumably the mods agree with what he is doing or at least value being a mod higher than speaking out. While for the rest general apathy (or fear of being banned)has been the order of the day.

To now see so many who have stood up to be counted has certainly opened my eyes and hopefully sent a warning to the powers that be.

I hope the site now goes from strength to strength with people allowed to voice both their pleasure and anger with the team we all love.I still believe it's expressing our opinions openly and honestly that leads to good debate, not abuse, cards and derision if one dares to have a different opinion than someone else.

I have decided to take a break from posting , but after due consideration and in respect for what you have all done I will not be re-requesting that my account be deleted. We have some fantastic posters on this site, I now know that we have some fantastic people as well. Thank you all for standing up for what you think is right.......now get posting!
