I was playing football at lunch today with a few people. One of the teachers that shouts a lot but it alright the rest of the time came over and asked for me and my mate Ashley. Then we followed him to the other end of the playground and he got two other of my friends. We thought we were in trouble, but he took us to a room and told us to sit down. He then went on to say how we've been excellent the years we've been here, done all our coursework, etc, and we should be rewarded for it.

But then he said that he could only give the reward to one person. The reward was....

2 tickets to Liverpool v Arsenal on Tuesday. Train there and back paid for. I was totally shocked. I haven't been to Anfield before so I was just imagining what it would be like to be there on a Champions League night.

Then he said that the only fair way to decide who gets it would be to draw a name out of a hat.

We went outside and he got the principal to do it. The names were:

Daniel (Me) (Liverpool fan)
Ashley (Man Utd fan)
Ben (Man Utd fan)
Nathan (Arsenal fan)

She drew Nathan's name. Honestly, when I saw it I was so upset. I really thought that it would be me. I suppose it's better that he got it than the Man Utd fans.

It was just so surreal because it was totally random and I never in a million years would have expected that. Can't believe I didn't get it.

If he wanted to reward 4 lads for their attitude, and at the end of the process 3 of them were gutted, it means  the system to reward was not fair.
