just came back to Singapore after 2 weeks in Thailand. made a road trip up from Hat Yai to Pattaya. i then took a minivan to Kanchanaburi and spent 3 days there. Kanchanaburi is stunning. i visited the Tiger Temple, Bridge over River Kwai among others.

I then took a bus to Bangkok but merely spent a few hours there before taking a boat up to Nonthaburi with my friend's dad who fetched me. i stayed in Muang Thong and Lop Buri a couple of nights and then headed up north to Loei and Chiang Khan for the remainder of the trip. was fortunate to have numerous contacts who made sure i was on the right path and not lost. i also went to the Laos border and had dinner by the Mekong River with one of the school's directors.

purpose of the trip was to visit orphanages and hospices to do some charity but my friend's dad and his friends turned it into a sightseeing journey as well.

my luggage mostly consisted of stuff which my friends here donated.

Maybe, but this time I want to hit some of the nice beaches.

PS Most tiger temples actively drug them which is why tourists can get quite close to them. But I think the one in Chiang mai is all good. The monks look after them there.

Contrary to my last post. It seems I have hit gold and managed to wangle a business trip to Los Angeles. Moving my flight home a week later and taking holiday out there. All for free.
