I'm not remotely irish so I don't give a toss about today, to me it's just thursday!

BUT

Happy Paddy's day to all the REAL Irish out there celebrating their day.  :)

Happy St Patrick's day to our Irish posters, have one for me!
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Well I celebrate both St.Georges and St. Patricks days. I'm an Englishman, Yorkshire born and bred but I have only to look as far as grandparents and we originate from Ireland. However, it's another excuse for a p!ss up.

cheers

Don't give a sh'it but if I'm being honest I do wonder why central London gets closed down to celebrate an Irish saint.

Nothing against the Irish but doubt if they'd ever accept a celebration of "St Georges' day" in Dublin, and fair play to them.

Guess from once being all conquering, we English have gradually turned into a nation of politically correct MUGS. :(

I think most people around the world just see if as a day to go on the pi$$, it just happens that it has an Irish saint is attached to it. It's just got to do with drink, if it was about prayer or something like that it wouldn't even register
