It's just sneaky maths mate. Had me stumped at first aswell.

There are only a limited number of answers no matter what numbers you start with.
Those answers are all denoted by the same symbol.

Great thread. Feel a bit queasy though.

I know that one. It's a very similar one to the one we used to at school. by using + - / and x you always end up with the same number or the one they want you to have. There are a few like that which I've learnt to cheat over the years. That one will always be 9, no matter what you think of.

I don't know how I beat the first one but my brain hurts now... I'm feeling a bit :upside: :alien: :sniffle :help

Stare intently at the red dot in the center of the left block for about a couple of minutes.

Once you've done this, look over to the center of the right block. It should act weird - by fading out and 'flickering'. If you move your head closer and further from the monitor (while focussing in the center), you should see some interesting interference effects too.

Excellent stuff. I used to love optical Art back when i was doing A-level many years ago. M.C Esher has done loads of really freaky stuff over the years.

I still don't know how to put images/pictures on here so can't go and find some of his stuff! :(

ASk then, mate!

There are two ways you may have a photo

A) In the internet
B) In your computer.

A.1) If it's in the internet, like this smiley :) , right click the image, and the select properties, a window will appear, and it has a bit of information in which you can read "address" .
A.2) Copy that adress and paste it
A.3) In the case of the smiley it's
http://www.liverpoolfc-newkit.co.uk/iB3_htm....ile.gif
A.4) Now you only have to tell the forum, that you want to show an image. That is done writing, the adress. the / tells the computer, which is idiot, that that's where the image address ends. Instead of < and >, though, you mut use brackets [], I didn't use it to explain it, because otherwise I'd fool the computer, which again, it's stupid.
A.5) So in the case of Smiley, it would be, http://www.liverpoolfc-newkit.co.uk/iB3_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif, but using brackets instead of <>

..........

Try this and I think you'll make it, once you do it 5 times, you make the whole 5 steps in 3 seconds.

--------

If the image is in your computer, you need to put it in the internet first. Where though? you must register a site that allows you to upload your images, like www.photobucket.com . That sites, once uploaded, they give you the already mentioned address, and you can use the 5 steps.

It's not difficult really, it's just that nobody gets born with this things known, and the computers are silly.
