Google street view

Has anyone checked this out yet? It's better than Google Earth. Go on to Google Maps, click on street view and look for the blue shaded areas - there's only America and parts of France at the moment. If you zoom into a street, click on Street View, and a 360° panoramic photograph of that point comes up. You can then click on the direction arrows to move up or down the street.
I've just taken a tour round Compton - without some homies trying to pop a cap in my :censored:  :D .

You can have some great fun with it. Yesterday, I retraced the final steps of the JFK motorcade route before he was assassinated. Fascinating stuff.
It'll be great when English streets are on. Some of you lot on here who have never been fortunate enough to visit Anfield will get an idea of what it's like to walk down Anfield Road or Lower Breck Road, seeing the Stadium in the distance, getting bigger and bigger, until you arrive at the Shankly Gates.

Just had a little walk around the Bronx!! :D

Soon you will be able to see your own street on there.Google have filmed some of Belfast already. There was a few cars with cameras seen around here and a guy on local radio was wondering what they were up to and urged his listeners to ask them if they got the chance.
A few rang in saying they asked them and they said they were working for google! So if they have been here, theres a chance they will have been in your neighbourhood as well!! :D

There's been all kinds of stuff in the news about this being used by terrorists, burglars planning robberies, car thieves checking out what street have the desirable cars, and even something about identity theft as well (that one I don't get).

It's a cracking bit of software but I'm not sure I'm too happy having a street level view of where I live being available to the masses (and JUDGE  :p ) without my consent.
