Indianapolis GP was the biggest farcical event in the sports history. I am so disapointed that this even took place. You could expect the drivers to race after one of the partners had said they had no confidence in their materials, but to go ahead with the race or not even bend the rules in order for all 20 cars to race was a joke. And for Monteiro to jump up and down and laugh on the podium was apprehensible.  :no  I hope they learn from this and not race in USA again, the track was re-layered with a harder coarser tar, and when Michelin didn't pick up on it, the tyres became too dangerous to drive on. Of course Bridgestone's US subsidery Firestone, had a meet with a Nascar event not long ago, so Bridgestone knew about the new surface, but decided not to tell the rest of Formula One. The result? Schumacher winning a disastrous race that only had 6 cars on the track.

Couldnt have happened to a nicer country though. LOL!

USA should lose it's right to stage F1 in future, the whole thing was a bloody farcical circus culminating with drunken mullet-wearing inbreds throwing cans of beer at the cars as they drove past

Silverstone loses the grand prix cos the car park was a bit muddy once, USA should definitely lose it after this

But surely it was Michelin's fault - it was their tyres at fault.  Bl00dy French again!!!

Michelin are the guilty party here, it could have been different if Ferrari ( the only team to dissagree ) had of voted in favour of the chican. you can understand the dissapointment and anger from the spectator's, but people's live's are not to be toyed with, Ralph Shumacher got off lightly for such a crash, how many people would you have liked to see get hurt or even killed in a similar situation?

michelin did indeed cause the problem by making duff tyres, but it was the F1A and the Indianapolis authorities who blatantly refused to do the one thing that would've given the spectators a proper race. In my mind this makes them the guilty party, at least michelin stood up and took it on the chin

too much bloody politics in F1 these days

Only when they seek to gain from it though.

Why did the US give the Israelis billions a year when the Palestinians are so much poorer than the Jews?
Israel is a naturally affluent country with a large army, however they yanks still decide to give them billions a year ito fund their ongoing feud with Palestine.

It's simple really, they did it for votes. Millions of Jews live in America, many of them very powerful, affluent people. So The American governemnt decides to give Israle billions a year to win the votes of the American Jewish Community.

And the Americans wonder why they are so hated in the Arab World?

The debacle at the US grand prix was down to Michellin and the FIA.

Michellin tyres were not up to a full hard race. However this is not completley Michellins fault. The track had been changed a bit and resurfaced since last year.
Bridgestone got around this because their sister company Firestone is the tyre manufacturer for the Champ car series over in the US so they gave Bridgestone all the track information, enabaling Bridgestone to make the correct tyres.

The FIA refused to allow a chicane to be put on the praticular corner that was causing the tyres problems. They also refused the teams permission to change the tyres from the qualifying tyres. THe FIA's solution was for the cars to slow down on that particular part of the circut. Now that was never likely to happen in the heat of a race situation.

So i guess i'm really saying is that i blame the FIA.

Also with regard to the fans, they were entitled to show their disgust. (not by throwing stuff, i don't agree with that). How would anyone here feel if they paid £300 for a ticket to a cup final match and the players made a quick walk on to the pitch and turned round and went back to the dressingrooms and refused to play. Thats what is must have been like for the Fans at the US grand Prix.
