Unless you've seen Robin Williams, you're opinion doesn't matter to me. :D

Rowan Atkinson is very funny, too. I would say that those two are miles ahead of the rest, despite their reluctance to actually perform stand-up.

Check out Robin William's appearance on the Screen Actor's Guild......

Impromptu comic genius.

Billy Connolly and Eddie Murphy when he did stand up. A lot of the black comedians are hilarious. Love their humor. But Billy is the funniest man alive. He makes everyday and inane things that usually annoy people seem so funny when he tells it.

Tommy Tiernan, anyone ? Only 'cos he seems to provoke such a reaction from the most anally-retentive members of society. And *their* reaction cracks me up even more...

Don't usually go for musical comedy but Bill Bailey's always a good laugh and Tim Minchin songs are clever and funny.

Foul language does not make a man funny, so Chubby Brown, first time I heard you you were funny, now you're painful.

Humour, funny, the genius of controlling an audience, facial expressions? Eric Morecambe, Tommy Cooper, even Bruce Forsythe. Ken Dodd - absolute genius, doesnt rely on f words to shock an audience. Ronnie Barker in Porridge.  I love humour, its an art.

Thats true, thats why come christmas time we have classics on tv showing the old comedians, they could use innuendo as well as anyone today which is why they are legends, today you can just say the foul language, back then you had to make sure the audience understood where you were coming from through good use of the english language.

At the moment it has to be, if anyone watches Mock The Week is Franky Boyle. That guy makes me cry every episode. I particularly love the end part where all the comics have to get up and get given a senario and the comics have to act accordingly:

Points Of View

Canterbury

smurfs

Richard Hammond

And the funniest one, 2:23...

Queen

I'd love to see him live...
