That'not what they are implying at all mate. I'm sorry but all I read from that piece is the police are trying to find a safe place for kids to play football.

"The £3,000 cage unfolds from a trailer and is circular in shape, four-metres in diameter with three metre high walls. It has two knee-high goals."

It's just a picture where all the kids wanted to be involved, to show there family that they got their pic in the paper, nothing more?

edit:

the timing is f*cking awful I agree for the picture, which I can see interpreted badly, but the bigger picture is people are trying to find a place for kids to play football, instead of out on the streets drinking and stabbing each other

as much as we - as liverpool fans - are all too painfully aware of what 15th april represents and how the date should be treated carefully and respectfully, we have to accept that for the vast majority of the world it is just another day. even within football there are many from other clubs who join us in our remembrances, but we have to accept that the industry is so large, and that sports journalists have their own agendas, that at times we will find things that appear to us to be badly misjudged or even downright insulting.

the legal processes that will reveal the truth about what happened that day are finally moving the way that they should, every year the memorial service and minutes silences are well observed and well respected, the HJC keeps on its good work, and we as fans remember those who died in the way that they should be remembered. i don't know what can be done to erase the pain felt by those that lost loved ones, but acceptance of other matters on or around the day are surely part of healing and moving on.

maybe that's to easy for me to say and i don't wish to disrespect any one else - i wasn't there, i lost no loved ones, and friends of friends are the closest to me that suffered.
