Whatever song gets the Christmas No.1 spot, it'll be a pile of sh*t.
Just like last year's rip-off, the previous year's b*llocks. It's been 10 years since the last decent Christmas No.1. 1995 saw Mick "The Fiddler" Jackson's "Earth Song". Then '94 had "Stay Another Day" by East 17.

Interestingly, the songs with "*******" after them denote the only Christmas songs claiming the Christmas No.1. (10 in the last 53 years).
I'm suprised the likes of Wizzard (Wish it could be Christmas Everyday), Gary Glitter (at the time - Rock and Roll Christmas), John Lennon (Happy Christmas, War is Over), and Paul McCartney (Wonderful Christmas Time) never made it to the no.1 Christmas spot.
This year will almost certainly see another pathetic song take it. (As Dawson said - the X factor winner).
What is the deal with record companies cramming the Christmas charts with sh*te, only to delay the release of quality music? Do they really want everyone to say "F*ck you"?
The charts are an utter joke nowadays, and anyone who pays £4 for a single, or £15.99 for an album by nine-tenths of the garbage acts around today, wants to get their head checked.
I just hope someone re-releases a classic like "A Fairytale in New York". Now that is a heck of a tune.
