Hate doing that in the title - should read insurance, cue endurance jokes....

Got my annual renewal quote today from Tesco's.

£715 - last year it was £370.
(1.3, 2001 Ford Fiesta 5 years' no claims)

It reminded me of a fella on the radio saying his had doubled.

Is this a generally for all car insurances this year?

Can't see how they can justify doubling it.

This is probably a silly question but did you have any claims in the last year?
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

robbing gits, they probably bring you in with cheap premiums, then hike it up after a year in the hope you don't realise/care and just pay it.

i've just bought a new car, and the dealership said ring this number - norwich union will sort you out with 7 days free cover so you can drive away on the day without farting about setting up your own insurance. so i rung them and they also quoted me for the year - £800   more than are charging me £360

i actually lol'd at the poor indian bloke on the phone :D

check the documentation. Has your no-claim bonus been added to the calculation?

Not sure about in the UK, but they should list the discount. It should also increase each year. 5%, 10%, 20% etc. after five years it should be quite a big discount.

sounds like it's has not been added. cheeky buggers did that to me over here once, and I nearly paid until our accountant at work saw it.
